UDOO-EDU kits are ready!
We are happy to announce that assembly and packaging of 170 UDOO-EDU kits has been completed in Cubit labs. The kits will be used by the students involved in the many piloting activities provided by the UMI-Sci-Ed project. They will also be presented within relevant education events throughout Europe, such as the All Digital Summit.
The UDOO-EDU kit is a set of hardware and software tools specifically designed to learn science and technology. At the centre of the kit is the Udoo Neo board, a tiny computing board with lots of functionalities. Udoo Neo is powered by GNU/Linux, a free operating system running on millions of devices worldwide, and is compatible with Arduino, the famous electronic platform used by thousands of makers.
UMI-Sci-Ed is a Horizon 2020 project, which aims at enhancing the attractiveness of science education and careers for young people (14-16 year olds) via the use of latest technologies. Ubiquitous and Mobile Computing and the Internet of Things (UMI) is put into practice towards enhancing the level of STEM education. At the same time, we are increasing the attractiveness of pursuing a career in domains pervaded by UMI for these youths.
